Hi! My Macbook Air 13” does not boot at all. The screen stays black and there is no sign of life at all. When I plug in the charger, it’s saying that it is charging (led goes orange) but the Macbook still won’t boot. Does anyone know what’s going on? I think it’s motherboard related, but before I order a new one, I want to be sure. Thanks in advance!

It could possibly be your SMC chipset i have encountered this many times, especially in the Mac Minis and in certain macbook Air models

If you aren’t able to power on your system using these tips, you may have a faulty battery, charger, or DC-In board. To figure out the cause you’ll need to do some troubleshooting or take it in to a repair shop.

Firstly, you may make some checks, such as indicator light, cable, power connection, display and so on. Then, try running Disk Utility to fix Mac issues. Or reset NVRAM/PRAM to have a try. Following post can be useful to help you step by step: https://www.minitool.com/data-recovery/f
