Chosen Solution
Replacement Magsafe connector got super hot using 60w charger with new 3rd party battery. Hot enough there was damage. Replaced the charger and magsafe. Now have replaced internal magsafe connection as well. No charging going on, no indicator battery condition is bad, just not charged. Reset SMC. What to consider next? Have tried an alternate proven working charger and connector. Computer does start up fine on AC.
A different 3rd party battery, or an OEM battery. If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.
