Hi all One month ago bought this MacBook from eBay (MacBook Pro mid 2014 with i7 2.5GHz). It looks like battery was replaced and was only 4 cycle count when I got the system. I’m checking battery health every day and it’s drains very fast. Was 9100 mAh when received and now has aprox 8400 mAh from normal use (not hard). I now have 40 cycles after 38 days of usage. It looks like battery lasts, but why it drops mAh so quickly can’t understand. lost more than 700 mAh and is continuing, If I turn on music on YouTube CoconutBattery shows much lower mAh 8100-8200 and do you have any idea what’s going on? is it normal capacity drop? maybe battery needs calibration?

Update (05/23/2021) I bought MagSafe 2 charger directly from apple so it’s original and there is no problem with charger. all contacts are clean. capacity jumps between 8100 and 8500, one week ago was 8800mah and 100% health, i’m assuming after two month battery will need replace.

The Yellow bar is your charged capacity, it is based on your charger ability to charge as well as how long you let it charge. I would replace the charger with the proper one as their are a lot of knockoffs which don’t work properly and I would also inspect the MagSafe connector on your system is the contacts clean as well as the plastic area Apple 85W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter (for MacBook Pro with Retina display) Why you don’t want a Knockoff charger! as I mentioned no dirty contacts. I know that led must be green when charged. is it possible that apple sold bad charger? just finished diagnostic and everything is okay, no errors was found… battery model is A1494 and Mac is A1398, can this model difference be reason for health drop?
