Hi, Last week my 2012 MacBook Pro’s screen died. I brought it into the local Apple store, and was told that the backlight was broken - we did the flashlight test. I ordered a new (used) screen, and after replacing it - it’s still a black screen with no backlight. I’ve: -reset the SMC -reset the PRAM Nada. The keyboard lights up, but the apple on the back of the screen does not. Any ideas??
Hook it up to an external display first and let’s see what we get. Did Apple run any specific tests or was it just a best guess diagnosis?
