Hi. Got an MacBook that won´t start. It starts to load, but half way through it shuts down (or the screen goes white and all the fans starts to work full speed) The mac was upgraded with an SSD about a year ago.. I´ve tried this:

  • Took out the SSD and connected it to my iMac. Got the message that it could not be repaired. So I formated it.
  • I have a USB with OS X installer. The mac won´t boot from that either. Goes with half way trough.
  • Tried Command - R but that won´t work either. Here is a video: http://hynnen.com/Filer/macbook.mp4

First see if it will boot in Safe Mode. Most likely a hard drive/IR cable issue. I adopt the 2012 cable to fix it. Was the old hard drive failing?
