Chosen Solution

Hi! I have a macbook pro 15" retina display mid 2015… When I program in android studio, the mac will reboot and turn on with an error log-Panic Kernal. One other thing is Webroot security software installs but when I try to open it, it will not open. My finder Dock moves a little(Like when you open something) not all the way as if it fully opens, then it closes. Since webroot will not open I am thinking there is a Virus on the computer that prevents any security software to open up and remove it. Oh! I almost forgot I am running MacOS Sierra(the way to get it without paying for developer access)-Don’t know if that changes anything! Any help is appreciated! Thanks, Vincent

After losing a couple of hard drives to the El Capitan Beta, I’m staying away from them. Hopefully you backed up before going to the beta. Surely you have an external backup drive with a system on it. Boot up from it and see if your problems go away. If you did this beta without a back up plan, there’s no hope for you, it’s in beta for a reason, it’s buggy! Webroot is a good anti-virus but will have to be updated for Sierra. Run it on your internal hard drive from your external backup. Do you have the expertise or even a valid reason for running a beta in the first place? Twenty years ago Apple only let professionals do it because they had the spare machines to do it and valid reason to see if the software they had written needed changes.

Might be a problem with webroot security. Trash it and reinstall it. You don’t really need an antivirus on a Mac as long as you have the latest OS X on your Mac. Thanks.
