Hi everyone, I recently bought a dead Mac Mini from 2007. But when I try to power it on, there is nothing, no light, no chime, not any sound from it. I took apart the logic board and everything seems fine. The charger is working because on the second one i have, it works perfectly. Do you have any suggestions to measure with multimeter ? Because I’m used to laptops not Mac Mini’s. Thanks :) Update (03/24/2022) On the global photo, it’s at the top right

Le problème venait d’un condensateur en court-circuit. Maintenant le mac remarche mais il me reste à remplacer le défaillant. The problem was a shorted capacitor. Now the mac works again but I still have to replace the faulty one.

Have you tried just replacing the PRAM battery?

You may need to take the logic board fully out so you can inspect the other side. Look for a component that looks discolored or burnt. Often the electrolytic & tantalum caps breakdown. Mac mini Model A1176 Logic Board Replacement
