Hi guys, nice to meet you. My MacBook suddenly crashed after a strange graphic artifact (the video doubled and many strange lines appeared). Now when I insert my password the system, after the loading bar reach half completion, stuck on the grey screen without booting. I tried to reset PRAM and NVRAM. It won’t boot the utility disk booting with cmd +r, it doesn’t start in safe mode and the internet recovery doesn’t work either. I then booted in safe mode and I used the command /sbin fsck -fy
https://ibb.co/jQZ6Hd But I got this screen saying that hard disk is OK but nothing. I also run the hardware test and it doesn’t find any issue. Can you tell me what I can try? This is what I get when I start it in verbose mode
Thank you so much for your assistance
Unfortunately issue points to a graphics card failure. When the booting Os checks the dedicated card gets wrong data and crashes, or stops loading. It’s getting very common on these 6/7 years old Macs..there used to be in place a special support from Apple for such fault, but it ended over one year ago. If you plan to get your Mac fixed, make sure not to waste time and money on reballing the current GPU chip, you would need a new fresh GPU chip installed to get back a reliable machine.
