Hi there. I have a Mac air 2013 mid A1466. Recently, it went no display on screen. I try to connect with a external monitor, it all works fine. There is no physical damage on screen, so I guess the connection or internal parts went wrong. Anyone knows which part may go wrong? Best Regards.
The primary suspect would be the Lvds Led display cable & Cable Connector. Apple does not sell this a separate part as they want to replace the whole display assembly. o you have to get a pulled part and hope that it works. You can resolve many display issues by updating the software on your Apple devices, cables, and adapters. If you can see an image on your screen, check for software updates using the Mac App Store:
- Connect your external display and any Apple video cables or adapters that you use with it.
- From the Apple menu, choose App Store.
- Click the Updates button in the App Store window.
- Install any OS X or firmware updates that are listed. If you’re using a display, hub, extender, or adapter not made by Apple, check with the manufacturer for any updates that might be available.
I have also this problem, but when I connect to external display, the display works again and I can use it for while and it happens again. Black screen.
