Solved Mac A1181 Apple Says Its Expandable To 2Gb Ram You Say 3Gb Macbook Core 2 Duo

just wondering where you guys heard that the a1181 is expandable to 3GB of RAM… has this been confirmed that if i use a 2gb chip with a 1gb chip that that my mac will actually be able to use 3 gigs of RAM and not just waste the 3rd? thanks, branden.

According to Mactracker the mid 2007 A1186 can use 3 GB of memory. (Apple says 2GB). The early 2008 A1186 can use 6 GB (Apple says 4 GB).
