I broke the little metal hinge that clips on to the lvds cable. Anybody have suggestions on what to do? Can you buy Lvds cables. The hinge is attached to the internal computer

You can definitely buy another cable. iFixit is not carrying it at the moment but you can try eBay or something similar.
