Loud pop,pop then fuzzy image?
Sounds like a capacitor may have blown. Might be worth turning the device off with no power for at least 24 hours and then look at the board more closely as you should be able to see a burnt out capacitor. If it is you maybe able to replace the part and/or clean it up as it may just be dirt or dust on the board.
