I broke one of the adhesive strips removing the old battery and it took alcohol and a lot of prying to get it out. When I did, I saw a small black wire with a bare end dangling
next to the power connecter. I must have snagged it with the spudger while I was prying. Can anyone tell me what it does, aka how badly I’m screwed?
It’s the cellular antenna. It’s part of the charge port assembly and connects to the logic board. I am not sure if they are a separate piece on the SE they are not on the 6 so I doubt it. You will need to replace the whole charge port assembly. It’s not a big job.
