Happy Holiday to everyone ! At least one of my USB ports seems to act up every now and then. Recently my Thunderbolt port also is acting up (which I mainly use to connect an external monitor) loosing connection on a regular basis, mainly when I somehow “touch” a cable or even the keyboard. Very rarely the monitor will also display a scrambled picture. All of that seems like a loose connection on the logic board? I have not opened the Macbook yet (will do so shortly to replace RAM). Any thoughts short of changing the logic board ? Thanks in advance Dirk

Sadly nothing you really can do with the ports. As you can see here the ports are soldered to the logic board and have shields around them.

You might bend the outside shell springs a bit but thats about it.
