I need a 7/17 pin adapter to plug the 970 EVO Plus into MacBook Pro 15” retina A1417 system.
Don’t mess with those adapters - they don’t work correctly and kill the SSD with high CRC errors which actually prematurely wears out the drive. You’re going to spend twice as much on SSDs because what will happen is the adapters make it “work”, bit DO NOT account for the firmware compatibility causing the CRC errors. The only way to stop that issue is to get a used Apple OEM SSD (or a compatible drive from OWC or Transcend) to avoid that issue. Yes, it’s expensive but what’s more expensive? Buying two SSDs or buying one that’s made for the machine?
