Chosen Solution

I have a serial ATA hard drive leftover from a MacBook Air that had water damage. I’m trying to locate an enclosure that’s compatible with it so that I can retrieve data! I have already tried purchasing a case for a 1.8" hard drive only to find out that it is incompatible. Do you sell one that will work? Please help! Thanks!

Here’s a good discussion of the problem: http://www.myservice.com/blog/2009/09/Ma… Here’s a couple of enclosures: http://www.cubeternet.com/servlet/Detailhttp://www.startech.com/item-application… Thanks to Majesty for the assist on this one ;-)

Did the StarTech one work in the end? Thanks, N

Hello all: I had the same experience JIm did. Have not ordered the StarTech enclosure yet, either. But I’d like to know if it works or not. It’s very hit or miss. Even the Genius Bar’s representatives could not locate me a third-party enclosure that works (they did try, and try their best; so did I) I was just about to go to eBay to locate an old MacBook Air to swap hard drives with, too.
