If need to replaced the logic board (main board ) on my iMac late 2014 5K is available the software for serialization the new logical board?? Regards: Massimo DELLI CARRI Update (10/08/2016) Suppose is out of warranty, need to replace the logical board and initialize it changing the SN this for have the update from Apple and using different services, otherwise I will not able to receive these update (iMac is not recognise by Apple service).
Have you visited an Apple Store or Authorized Service Center? You system might still be covered under warranty here. I would start there before thinking about replacing your logic board as it will be very expensive! It will be around $1,250 to 2K US just for the part! Depending on where you get it, it will likely already have a S/N assigned. The Serialization tool is very tightly controlled by Apple. Even if you get the software you need a special Apple account for it to register its self. And theres even more security now than before!
