ok i have omitted couple of fastening screws and have managed to curl the display cable so it fits. everything seems to be working fine except for the Airprot. of course the cable socket seems to have changed completely, is it possible to compensate for this difference?
I commend your tenacity on swapping out the logic board for a different series system. Sorry to say Apple (just like other manufactures do when changing CPU architecture) often change things to the point you can’t do a swap out between different series of systems as in the case here. The difference here is the AirPort I/O interface was increased when Apple went to the Core 2 processors which is why things are different.
