Hi, A friends phone fell into water and then used it for 2 hours before it shut off and then they tried using it again later and it worked for an hour after that they got a boot loop, I then cleaned the logic board with isopropyl alcohol after removing the shield. I tried booting again and same thing happens. I successfully put it into DFU mode but as soon as it tried to restore iOS the boot loop occurred again. I then did some probing with a continuity meter an I found that capacitor C1201_RF was shorted so I replaced it and nothing changed. I am trying to look for other problem areas, I would be so grateful if someone with more experience would tell me what I should look for, or some general techniques I could employ? if some one has had something similar to me I would be so grateful if they shared their experience! Thanks!

Zubin, Simple question: did you try the logic board while removed from the housing, attached ONLY to a new/known good screen and new/known good battery and new/known good charging dock? (or simply try it in a known good iPhone housing). Once you set it up this way, plug a charging cable into the charging dock and connect it to a computer port or genuine charger, and see if it restarts properly. If yes, start connecting the old components one by one to see which one will make it boot loop. If no, then you need to examine it under 20x at least magnification, to work out what is missing/shorted/corroded and needs replacement. Better yet, use a pro ultrasonic to clean it, it might bring it back to life without you doing anything else.
