relating to this, if i put the logic board of my old iphone 4 8gb into a new iphone 4 8gb, would it boot up my phone in the exact same way, and basically be the same phone?
I agree with jessabethany here it would be cheaper fixing your phone than trying to thrasher the guts to a new phone. Besides, I think you’ll find this will be harder that messing up the screen. As to getting off your stuff, I haven’t tried this but this makes sense: Disconnect the display and using the sync cable connect your phone to a Mac/PC running iTunes. It should be visible that way. Then copy it back on to your new iPhone or to have in case it gets lost in fixing.
The logic board “IS” the phone. So yes, your logic board in any other housing would act like your phone. But… What do you mean you ‘messed up’ the first phone. If the logic board is okay, then just replace whatever piece is ‘messed up’ rather than buying a new phone, no? jessa
