I bought a new/used logic board for my iPod video 30 gig from ifixit. It did not come with the ground strap piece under the click wheel. Is it required?
Not sure why a ground strap (patch) was not on the replacement board but, I successfully removed my old one and after a false start and re-seating all straps, it fired up and so far appears to be working.
