Did not specify a device here because there are two in question. Let’s call them Computer A and Computer B for short. Computer A: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2009 Computer B: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Late 2011 Computer A’s exterior casing is really beat up and there are multiple gashes near the ports, including a moderate dent in the top left corner. Computer B’s exterior casing is in almost perfect condition. No dents, no scratching whatsoever. However, it is missing parts and the MLB is toast. My question here is would I be able to transfer the internals from Computer A into the top case assembly of Computer B? Or is this simply not possible? MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Late 2011 Logic Board Replacement MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2009 Logic Board Replacement Looking at these two guides here it looks like the standoffs for the logic board are in the same spots. Any ideas if this would work? Thanks!
Forget about the standoffs..there are just a couple of cables in common and in the same position, all the rest is not compatible, screen assembly to start with and that would already be enough in my opinion.
