I am planning on replacing the battery on an iPad Pro 10.5in. In the guide on ifixit.com, it says to loosen the adhesive on the EMI shield and back of the logic board. Will I need new adhesive when I’m reassembling? Thanks. I’m talking about step 26.
For the logic board of the device, the adhesive beneath will reseal once the logic board has been put back in place. If you remove most of the adhesive to loosen the board, you may want to add some more where necessary to prevent any movement of any components after the device has been closed up.
