Hi Iv got a MacBook Pro in, with a 820-00138-a board and I’m trying to find the 8850 Lcd backlight driver. Can’t seem to get any boardview etc for this model. Where is this ic as can’t seem to find it under the scope, is it on the top or bottom of the board ?.
There is not an LP8550 on this board, instead it uses LP8548 (U7701) on the top of the board, near the backlight fuse and keyboard connector, not a BGA chip. No board views for 820-00138, use board view for 820-3787 instead.
