This LN46B640R3F TV works great except the colors are washed out, sometimes when trying various settings in the menus some of them look normal. Is there a way to troubleshoot this, or is this a known problem with a known fix?
Hi @mscir , On looking more closely especially around the eyes and nose of the face in the image you posted, I’m now wondering if it is a solarization problem. Try replacing the tcon board and check if this resolves the problem. The link is only to give you an idea of the cost of the board. Note: Make sure that if you decide to try this that the board that you order has the same board number information that is printed on your board or verify with the seller that it is compatible with the exact full model number of your TV. Either search for (insert board number of tcon board) or LN46B640R3F tcon board (see Note: above) to find suppliers that suit you best. The tcon board is the board that connects the mainboard to the display panel. To help identify it for you the image in the link I posted shows two cable connectors at the top of the board and one at the bottom. This would mean one cable coming from the mainboard to the tcon and two cables going from the tcon to the screen
