Recently spilled liquid on my device. Took it apart and dried it out immediately. Washed the logic board and modules with Isopropyl Alcohol to remove residue. Issues are: No audio (via speakers, headphones or HDMI) - no audio devices appear in sys prefs/sound.Fan runs at full speed while laptop is powered on, even when idle.Keyboard no longer working, but I don’t care about that. Apple Diagnostic turns up only one error code - VFF001 - for the audio. From my reading it is likely to be the IO Flex Cable, or the IO board. The IO Flex Cable actually becomes too hot to touch the moment the laptop is powered on. I can’t really afford to replace the wrong one, would you suggest the board or cable first, or something else? Thanks

Spencer, What was the alcohol percentage of the kind you used? Some is mostly water. Did you removed the LB completely, or just washed/dried what you could see with the bottom off?? Liquid damage is most often immediate and progressive. You should get you laptop to a full service shop that can provide full testing and diagnostics. Troubleshooting this type of issue from liquid damage—on your own —will be expensive and time consuming, at best. That said, try the least expensive part first.
