Hi all, I guess this is where we get our I Fix It “customer support”…. So I replaced the iPhone 7 Plus Lightning Connector Assembly from iFixit and with much hassle, got all the other functions of the phone to work. No missing screws, etc. The wifi, cellular and mic all work…which seem to be problems with this repair from them. But now, when I go to charge the phone, I get the “This accessory may not be supported” error message. And of course the (also new) battery is slowly dying. Anybody else have this problem? What’s the fix? Is it a connector that’s not seated properly? I’ve reseated and redone the screws on the whole thing 2-3x already. Thanks, .curt
Here is the link for the return policy. From what you have described it could also be a faulty component on the logic board charging circuit but you will need to rule out a faulty charge port assembly first.
