Chosen Solution
Hi! I fixed my phone yesterday, replaced the LCD and digitizer with all its frame. I took everything out from the previous case and moved them to their new home. Since then, my signal goes off and on every 10 seconds or even less. I can call, use data and everything, but the signal turns off completely for a few seconds and than comes back and again… Any solution? What components should I check for problems? Thank you!
It’s probably the little daughter board at the bottom which is apparently the antenna. Iv’e purchased one from ebay for about 13$ and will see if it will solve the problem.
Noam Cohen , If phone was working with the old display perhaps try reinstalling it to see if you purchased a faulty display. If not take the phone back apart but this time clean all the connections(Qtip dampened with 90% or better Isopropyl Alcohol) check all pins for damage and straighten very carefully with tooth pick and reseat connections securely. Check the board for loose/damaged/burnt components and repair as required. Check the battery with DVOM to see if it is taking charge, reassemble the phone and try. Good luck.
