Chosen Solution

I have an LG model wm2650hwa front load washer. When I try to run a wash, regardless of what mode, it gets stuck on the fill cycle until it is over filling with water. When I go into diagnosis mode, it will do everything I ask it to do (fill, spin, high spin, drain, etc.). I have checked the hose to the water pressure sensor for leaks, it is good. I have replaced the water pressure sensor, no change. I changed the inlet valves for both the cold and hot water, again, no change. I am at a complete loss as to what to do. Any help would be much appreciated.

Solution 1: Water Inlet Valve Try shutting off power to the washer while the machine is filling with water. If the washer continues to fill with water even when it is not getting power, this indicates that the water inlet valve is defective. If the water inlet valve is defective, replace it. https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/… Solution 2: Pressure Switch The pressure switch shuts off power to the water inlet valve when the proper water level is reached. If the pressure switch fails, the water inlet valve will continue to fill the washer tub with water, causing the washer to overflow. Before replacing the pressure switch, check the air tube to the pressure switch to ensure that it is clear of debris and is not leakinghttps://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/… Solution 3: Low Water Pressure from House Supply The water pressure to the water inlet valve might be too low. The water inlet valve requires a minimum of 20 psi to shut off properly. If the water inlet valve does not get enough pressure, the valve may not close fully after the power is shut off. As a result, water can leak into the washer and cause it to overflow. Check the water pressure to determine if it is sufficient.

I had a similar issue, but I’ve now replaced the inlet valve and the pressure switch. Still it opens the main fill solenoid as soon as there is power to the board. When I put the washer in test mode it I get a water reading, the hot and other 2 valves work fine but the main fill solenoid will stay open from the start of a cycle right until the washer powers off leading to soaking wet load. Any thoughts? I am leaning towards a bad relay in the main board bit getting tired of guessing with this thing.
