LG washer 18 months old …..after 4 months while under warranty the clutch housing shaft broke due to the issue with coin lodged between pulsator and tub. Now 13 months later, no coin but broken clutch housing shaft again. Order new housing clutch and install per great video guidance. Everything looks great, seems smooth turning tub. Turn on and get LE error. Tried reset, remove and inspect stator and rotor. This model appears to not have the known culprit for LE errors, stator sensor. I did not ohm out the stator so I will check that. Could I have gotten a bad clutch housing? There isn’t any real obvious noises. The error comes in during the load sensing in the starting sequence of the various cycles. You can hear the motor humming a bit before the error is thrown.
drmdolfan Sure it is possible that you received a bad clutch housing but I would proceed with checking a couple of things. Remember the LE error is a general motor error but you need to check: · Check the connections at the hall sensor and at the BLUE 6-pin connector on the main board. · Check the connections at the stator and at the yellow 3-pin or BLUE 6-pin connector on the main board. Test the stator to determine it is not defective. · Test hall sensor to determine it is not defective. · Turn the drum to verify the bearings are not locked.
