Hi Guys, i have an LG 49UH770V LED TV which is roughly 2 years old. Has been working perfectly until i powered the TV on and the display did not turn on. The standby light is solid red and when i press the power button on the remote or TV the red light flashes once and stays solid red again. Have tried numerous reset methods on the internet like holding power buttons etc and leaving the TV off for a week but nothing has worked. I did open the TV to see if any capacitors were domed on the power board but they are all flat and appear fine. Also tried the hairdryer trick to see if maybe their may have been moisture build-up. Any help would be appreciated as to what to try next. I read it could be the powerboard or mainboard at fault but which am i better to replace first?

Hi Guys, a follow up as this may help someone with a similar problem. I purchased and swapped out the power board and that did resolve my issue. I couldn’t see any visible capacitors, diodes or resistors blown so it was a little strange this was the fix. Previously to that i had been told by LG and a specialist repair guy that it was definitely the mainboard. Quoting £230 for a repair that cost me £30! Anyway, hope this helps somebody out there.
