Chosen Solution

I have an LG 42LN5406 and the image recently started flickering. It’s smeared across the screen and jumps up and down. This happens on all inputs as well as the menus and the boot logo. I tried reseating the ribbon cables but it didn’t help. Which part is most likely to be the culprit here?

@sasodoma this is tough since it also happens to the menu. Under normal circumstances this would be a T-con board issue but in your case it looks more like a failed main board or even a panel issue. Start with main board, T-con board (there is always hope) and then consider a failed panel.

Really old post but I recently came across a potential solution and since I still had this TV in the attic I gave it a go. It sort of worked, the image quality is now a bit worse. This is the video I followed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfrRhw7-…, the solution involves covering certain clock pins with tape to disconnect them. So yes this really was a panel issue, just like oldturkey03 said.
