HI, Lenovo G460 laptop (battery Smiley Happy) is not charging when turned on. When laptop turned on and plugged in , then intially it charges for a minute to five minutes and then it stops. When we mouse hoverd on the battery icon is displaying message as the percentage of battery available. No message as “Charging” is displayed. But it charges when turned off. Once after tutning off the laptop it charges from min to 100 percent without any issue. thank you. Can someone suggest me the solution. thnks Indra reddy
Hi @indrareddy , Do you have Win 7 (32-bit) installed? If so, you could try uninstalling the Lenovo Energy Management software, recharging the battery to 100% and then reinstalling the “latest” available energy management software suitable for your laptop from Lenovo. If this doesn’t work you may either have a faulty battery or power adapter. Hopefully this is of some help
