I have a pair of August EP650 and they are both wired and Bluetooth. Because of a slight quality increase and no battery life, I like to use a male to male cable but there is no audio coming from the left cup (where you connect the cable). Using Bluetooth, the audio works on both cups and I used multiple compatible cables but it still doesn’t work. I took a picture of the port and Ivan see a red and a black wire and a gold bar that is more on one side.
Hi, The tip connector spring inside the headset socket has either lost tension or the socket has a dry joint or loose connection to the headphones. If the problem in the socket itself it will have to be replaced as they are irreparable. You can prove where the problem is by opening the headphones and plugging a stereo audio cable into the headphone socket end only. Then connect an Ohmmeter between the tip of the jack plug at the end of the cable and where the tip connection of the socket appears in the headphones and see if there is a reading on the meter or whether it comes and goes by moving the jack plug. You could also check, if the socket is mounted on a pcb whether it is loose and all its’ connections are soldered properly. Here is an image of the connections used in a conventional headphone jack plug.
