Chosen Solution
The LED on my daughter’s 1 1/2 yr. old HP Mini suddenly stopped working. Tried hard re-boot but no luck. CPU, fan, etc. seem to be working OK but no display. Would hooking up to external display help diagnose? if so, how do I connect?
It is my understanding that the Mini 1000 has an external VGA port. Though the notebook has a VGA monitor output, it uses a small custom connector, so you’ll need to purchase an optional adapter cable to use an external monitor. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keyword… has the cable you would need, hope that helps and good luck to you.
