Hi all, While replacing the screen in my MBA 11.6" I damaged the led backlight cable. Does any body know where I can source a replacement? Unfortunately only half the screen lights up now. Thanks in advance. Josh
joshlismore, Sorry for my delay… busy week. Unfortunately, I did not find any good pictures in my research that would clarify the right position of the cable. Maybe this link will help? Picture #2 shows you the ribbon cable… Or this picture here (Picture #3; click to enlarge)? Adding to this issue, I found an earlier posting here on iFixit, addressing the same question (further down). Unfortunately, I do not own a MBA and have never fixed the screen in order to be able to give you a definite answer. In general, the defective cable is not fixable. And, since it is really difficult to get (and if, then it seems to be really expensive), I would look out for a used LCD Back cover, like this one here. Steffen
