LG 47LN5700 The backlight on my LG tv is not working. I took it apart expecting to replace a few LED’s. After testing each row of strips (6), I found one entire row (R1 and L1) is not lighting up. All other rows are good. What could be the problem and how do I fix it?
@jonye these are most likely wired in series so if one is out they all are out. I would replace the complete backlight array (all strips) and then re-evaluate. Update (06/20/2021) @jonye did you check the power board before replacing your strips? What voltages did you get? Most common is the power board then the backlight strips. Tell me you checked all of that before you went ahead with the strips? Yes, it can still be the strips if the rest works out. You may need to replace all of them.
