Hello all, This is my first question in the forum :P I hope this is a common problem. Help me to identify the problem, It is the LCD panel, the inverter or LCD cable? What is the best way to find the problem? This problem appears randomly usually when the machine returns form sleep mode. When I close the screen and open it again, the failure disappear. My MacBook Pro 15" is: Model Identifier: MacBookPro4,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.6 GHz Memory: 4 GB Boot ROM Version: MBP41.00C1.B03 SMC Version (system): 1.27f3 Serial Number (system): W883425MYJZ And the Backlight of the LCD has this failure:

Again this only happened when you put the system to sleep via closing the lid Vs just using the menu (via software). If thats correct it sounds like the LED board has a problem. It’s a bit of work to get to LED driver board check to see if the connections are loose or the board has a problem. Review this pic LED Driver board.
