just done a battery replacement and I kind of messed up the alignment of the battery adhesive tabs is it okay to leave it like this? The battery connector is just slightly bending to connect? thanks.
I did this same repair on my dads old iPhone 6 and I did exactly what you did and it worked for me. It should work.
