Hi Guys. I have am IPhone 6 plus with touch problem with grey bars. I changed touch Ic with M1 jumper. The touch dont work. I find a same problem ( on ifixit forum) and verify have FL2034 short to ground. (because the M1 pad near to GND) I change IC, carefully.. Now there is not short in any component, but touch dont work again. My question is, Its better to change fl2024, because i turned on the phone with this short? There is a risk this filter burn? I try to reball both ic’s but no improvment. Thanks
If FL2034 is shorted to ground, you have to find the source of the short. As you say, you probably created the short when soldering Meson back in place. The M1 pad is next to a GND pad and the fact of adding a jumper wire may have caused excess solder to bridge. You need to remove Meson and test FL2034 for shorts again. If the short is gone, then that means you need to clean up those pads and retry your work. What size jumper wire are you using?
