I have an Imac 24" 3.06 2008 and not sure is the video card is failing or the LCD screen When I turn it on, the screen is grey and it flaking black on the right hard side. When I boot in safe mode, the picture comes up and the black flake on the right hand side Update nornmal boot safe mode Update I had swap with the video card, same problem Do anyone know where I can get them repaired? Update i had the video card fix and worked perfectly
Plug it into an external monitor to isolate the problem. If the external is OK, the processor (GPU) is good.
Before I replace the video card: when I turn on imac, the apple logo comes up. Then the screen goes to orange, then pink. Also i thinking about getting the video card fixed
got another Imac 3.06 with a failed logic board swap the screen and got the same problem going to swap video card to see if it work
