Hi, Today got new LCD display + touch after I connect everything nothing dosent show on screen but surface sound as working. Also when setup old broken lcd nothing happent. So I think lcd ribbon cable is dmg , here is image of cable https://postimg.org/image/xemi57umf/ i, down right corner look as dmg missing small part of connector. How can I fix? Because new cable cost 50$ , so if can will like to save that money
Hi, I solved problem by replacing ribbon cable. You can find on alibaba for arround 5$.
I have the same problem. I brought and connected up a brand new LCD screen for my Microsoft Surface Pro 2 but although all the sounds and vibrations are working perfectly on the device I can’t seen to get the display to show any visuals. Has any body had and solved this issue and if it is a faulty display ribbon, does anyone know where I can buy a new one from for a reasonable price. Thank you. Kay
Cheers Flegy. I’ve ordered a new ribbon from Alibaba but couldn’t find the same sort of bargain as you. I paid $18.
Same issue. You may find that the screen works but it’s the back lights that aren’t functioning. You can test this by angling a flashlight to the screen while the unit is on. You should be able to see the graphics but very dark. Another way is to connect the mini display port to an external monitor. This worked for me. Back to the issue. I replaced two screens and one costly cable but none of that helped. I have the option of connecting to a docking station. My Surface Pro 2 can no longer be used as a tablet.
