The black clip that holds the LCD ribbon cable snapped. Is there a way to replace that piece and what is the part number please?

To replace the clip requires microsoldering . iIt may be easier to try to repair the clip if its not badly broke . the locking mechanism is held in place by two small nubs at each side of the clip that go into the side of the base . if the nubs arent broke off you should be able to get the clip to go back on . use a pair of tweezers and it may help to have a magnifing glass to see what your doing . If this brings no joy you can also try wedging a small piece of plastic into the joint to force the ribbon cables down onto the pins then taping everything in place . If however you want to solder on a new clip you may want to take it to someone who does this kind of work . Hope this helps

Yes I have to agree with the method of placing black insulation tape on the back of the main ribbon. Ensure not to overlap the edges. I used one piece on one tablet on another I had to double it up with two pieces Once screen is active hold the ribbon in place with some tape going across the battery to keep it in place.
