Hi everyone! I have an Apple IPad Mini 2, that I was replacing the LCD for. Once I removed the old screen, and installed the new one; nothing was showing up at all. This happened about 4-5 days ago, trying everything between switching screens to pulling out the battery while trying to figure this out. I am a technician by trade and I have been looking at as many guides as I possibly could trying to figure out just what could have happened. I have it sitting on the charger right now, thinking that possibly the battery managed to get drained despite the screen not showing any information. The back light does not turn on on either screen anymore so I believe it is possible the back light fuse is shot as well.
Have you made sure the replacement LCD you bought is an iPad Mini 2 LCD and not an iPad Mini 1 version? The iPad Mini 1 LCD is not compatible with the iPad Mini 2. To tell the difference the iPad Mini 1 LCD will have a larger display board at the bottom where the metal shields are and where the cable comes from. Mini 2 LCD will have the same size board as the original screen.
