Can you replace a LM201W01 (SL)(A3) with a LM201E01 (ST)(B2) or LM201W01 (A5)(K2)? Not sure what the numbers in () represent.

The suffix provides EDID or Extended Display Identification Data. AFAIK each manufacturer can make/use their own codes… e.g. SL may mean Silver, A may mean black (surrounding the crystals) B2 could mean glossy, or A3 may mean matte. I think I read someplace that there’s possibly 500 different compatible screens for most computers. If you follow the link you can see that getting the correct LCD is much more complicated than purchasing a light bulb or set of tires for your car. You can use suffixes SLA1 and B5 as a substitute for the SLA3. The A5K2 will not work. The SLA3 uses LVDS to communicate with the scaler card and the A5K2 does not use LVDS.
