Solved Lcd Is Dark Plug In Charger Lights Up For Split Second Ipod Nano 4Th Generation

Got a Nanon 4th generation, 8GB. The LCD is totally dim, did a factory reset … weird thing is if I plug in the charging cable in from time to time it lights up fully for a split second then goes dim. But not all the time. Guessed it might be just a loose lcd cable, but jiggled, tapped, etc, with no results or flicker. Figure I will just order in a new lcd, but just wondering if someone has experienced the same issue (just kinda voodoo weird) out of curiosity.

Country Computer Service, this model iPod has issues with corrosion on the logic board especially around the display connector. I would start by cleaning the logic board thouroughly and replacing the LCD.
