I updated my iPhone 7 to 12.0.1. the phone restarted and went into a boot loop. I used another screen and the phone works normal minus the home button function. does ios 12.0.1 recognise a screen as aftermarket? as ive had the screen on with the home button working also since ios 12 first came out. only when I updated did it enter my phone to boot loop. but I have my spare screen on and its fine. but if I put screen with proper home button back on goes into a loop again??
There have been some reports of iOS 12 causing issues with Aftermarket screens. Check out the updates to this question (IOS 12 touch issues). You could try downgrading iOS for now until this is resolved.
