I have recently replaced the LCD and screen on my 8 GB ipod Touch… I have almost done it but having a problem connecting the LCD connector back together. Should this easily click in? Has anyone else had the same problem? Is it because it;s so tiny and fiddly? Appricate your help Thanks

this is one of the most annoying LCD connections.. it’s pretty difficult to get at. I found that if I put one finger over the volume button connectors on the left to stop me pulling the logicboard off, it gave me more leverage to see and get that LCD connector on. You can then feel the pop when it’s on and see it is on.

It should click in but not necessarily with a “click” sound. Be very, very careful when pushing on the connector because you can easily bend one of the pins on the logic board connector.

Always check the connections on the LCD and digitizer… I have had old connector pieces in a (new) screen that caused damage to the motherboard. China will send defects back out as new. I always mark my returns with marker to help keep that fraud from happening (small steps).

Okay so what di i do if i bent on of the pins on the connecting flax cable and it wont click it wont stay i dont know what to do cause i need it by friday
