I replaced the LCD glass and digitizer for a customer yesterday. Customer arrives tests everything and everything works. LCD works. Customer takes home and contacts me that LCD is turning on but is disfigured.. What am I supposed to do? I fail to see how messed up colours on an LCD have anything to do with a digitizer. Of course, stranger things can happen. I believe the LCD connector is not seated properly. It may have loosened due to a (minor) fall after the customer left your shop or perhaps the connector was never properly secured to begin with. There is also some “grainyness” to the LCD image. This could be a connection issue as well. When you get the device back, open it up and verify the connections (make sure to disconnect the battery!). If it still displays false colours, you may have a defective LCD. They are very sensitive and can fail if you handle them incorrectly.

if you mean what I believe you mean by disfigured then its more then likely a loose cable, nothing to stress over, but before having them comeback in, I suggest asking her to preform a hard reset on the devoice (Home Button+Power button at the same time until you can see the apple logo), and if that doesn’t work then check the cables, if nothing seems wrong, purchase another led/digitizer here- iPad 2 Screen Digitizer Assembly Update (11/30/2016) I’ve seen those before, Here’s Your definite 1 of 2 solutions. A. Make sure that the cable connecting the digitizer to the device is in and secured, as it could be loose, causing the issue. B. If A Doesn’t work, there’s something wrong with the digitizer, I’d suggest returning it and buying a brand new one.
