Can someone please confirm if an OWC HDD Sensor is still needed when using a Samsung 850/860 Pro with the 27 Late 2015 27? I’ve actually already installed it as I was doing a test and fans are operating perfectly and is even registering a SSD temp properly in iStat menu. Possibly this was updated in High Sierra?
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. It is possible that the drive you pulled was a Samsung, therefor negating the need for the OWC sensor.
